Kæmpeblæksprutte

Det er endnu ikke kendt, hvor Kæmpeblæksprutten (Architeuthis dux) lever naturligt, men man tror, at den lever over hele verden ved kontinent- og ø-skrænterne. Man har heller ikke vidst, hvad den levede af, men i de få eksemplarer der er fundet, har maven indeholdt dybhavsfisk. Det formodes, at den også spiser hvaler. Den eneste fjende, den voksne kæmpeblæksprutte har, er kaskelothvalen.
